I took the year off from triathlon to pursue other endeavors, namely, backpack with my husband, and run ultras. I'm two weeks away from running my first 60 miler and next year I plan to run 100 miles before returning to Ironman.
As many of you already know, I'm recovering from a dang broken ankle and surgery which I had on September 2nd, three days before my wedding. I'm continuing to do 3 x 1 minute of running. Today I managed to run an 8:30 min/mile without pounding on my ankle for the last minute. I'm feeling pretty confident that I can get my running norm back, but in the meantime, I'm going a bit stir crazy not being able to just go out and run in this beautiful forty degree weather. I also have been doing plenty of swimming, and cycling on my trainer.
I haven't started to actually blog since I made this website. I suppose now is as good a time as any. I have had a Facebook page the past few years for training purposes that you can follow https://www.facebook.com/SwimBikeRunRepeat/ but again, I haven't been religious about updating that page either. I think maybe it's about time that I start keeping on top of it.
